Astra Quarterly Report: Q2 2022

We’re halfway through 2022, crossing milestones and expectations through the many accomplishments and opportunities we found along the way.

Q2 was a truly eventful quarter as we went through some bittersweet experiences in such critical market conditions. But Astra turned these events into teaching moments for the blockchain industry, reinforcing the need for regulations.

Astra caught the limelight with its features in several articles by channels and websites.

Let’s take a quick rundown on the accomplishments and highlights of Astra:

Mick Mulvaney and Kirstjen Nielsen as advisors

Astra Protocol introduced Mick Mulvaney, and Kirstjen Nielsen, as new advisors of Astra.

Astra made headlines in Coindesk, Bloomberg and Wall Street Journal with these hirings which were deemed a perfect fit to Astra’s goals and mission. Mick and Kirstjen bring a wealth of government experience from their years working under former President Donald Trump.

Introducing Astra Network

Earlier in May, Astra confirmed the development of a compliant blockchain for web3 called Astra Network. Astra Network will become the largest network in the industry by creating the next iteration of decentralization through the convergence of Web3.0 and traditional financial ecosystems. The entire network is explicitly designed to be a fully KYC compliant decentralized blockchain ecosystem, where every network participant is validated as a prerequisite to onboarding.

Yahoo Finance covered this news in an article describing Astra Network as the “XRP Killer”.

Astra Network is a cutting-edge, layer 1 blockchain that will bring the convergence of the traditional finance sectors and governments into the decentralized economy.

Astra announced a fundraising of $100 Million for delivering Astra Network and soon revealed Republic as their first investor.

$ASTR Strong Holder Offering

This is probably our biggest highlight of the quarter, the $ASTR SHO on DAO Maker. Our most-anticipated event, the $ASTR SHO, was announced to be conducted on one of the biggest launchpads, DAO Maker. Date is yet to be revealed, stay tuned on our socials.

Partnerships:

Astra Protocol announced a partnership with Cube Network, a high-performance modular layer-1 blockchain for multi-chain architecture.

With this collaboration, Cube will work with Astra as the first exclusive EVM compatible partner to bring safety and assurance to all of their DeFi applications.

Astra organized an insightful Twitter Spaces session with Cube to explain the partnership to their communities.

AMAs and Community Events

To keep information and excitement flowing in our community, we organized several AMAs and community events.

Astra attended Ask Me Anything sessions with different communities and organized many exciting campaigns. Our AMA communities included Crypto Talkz, Infinity Chains, Decentralized Club, D’va Room, IM Community, One Shot Ventures, Crypto Stalkers and more.
